Overview

The design of the Doha Metro Project comprises input from a wide range of disciplines such as System Assurance works, Energy, Tunnel Ventilation System, Power Supply System, Platform Screen Doors, Track Work, Depot Equipment, Maintenance Management System, Depot and Stabling Yard design.

MSI supported the client by providing multidisciplinary engineering design and project management services review for Doha Metro. Through LTA’s years of experience from doing its own in-house designs to achieve numerous successful transport system, the MSI team was able to carry out comprehensive review of the design and calculations and verification of the documents prepared by MHI, its subcontractors and suppliers.

Services rendered in this project

• Carry out a comprehensive review of all aspects of the design for Systems Assurance and documents related to Energy, Tunnel Ventilation System, Power Supply System, Platform Screen Doors, Track Work, Depot Equipment, Maintenance Management System, Depot and Stabling Yard design.

•  To verify that the documents prepared by MHI and its Subcontractors, Suppliers meet the Employer’s (Qatar Rail’s) requirements for safety and RAM and comply with relevant codes and standards.

• To confirm that calculations are translated into design details and drawings, specification clauses.

• To check the applicability, accuracy, and validity of any computer programs used, such as for Power Supply and Tunnel Ventilation Systems.
