Transport Planning & Smart Transport Solutions

Leveraging on the expertise of Singapore’s Land Transport Authority, the Transport Planning Business Unit provides consultancy expertise that centres on key aspects of land transport management policies, regulatory frameworks and planning considerations which includes Integrated Transportation Planning & Policy Formulation for Public Transport (Rail and Bus) and Roads, Land Transport Master Planning development and Transport Modelling & Simulation.

 

Our other expertise areas include nation-wide implementation of Autonomous Vehicles and Electric Vehicles, Intelligent Transport Systems, and Tolls and Electronic Road Pricing.

Conference & Training

Our conferences and training unit organizes and runs international conferences and exhibitions at a customizable scale. We have organized several large MICE projects such as the ITS World Congress and Singapore International Transport Congress & Exhibition, to name a few.

 

As a subsidiary of Singapore’s Land Transport Authority, we organize and run courses for the Singapore Rail Academy, on top of the customized courses we conduct for our clients at MSI Global. We are also the reviewing body for the Singapore Rail Academy, and we undertake commercial tasks assigned by Singapore Rail Academy.

Project Management

Leveraging on the many years of experience in managing numerous Road and Rapid Transit projects such as Circle Line (CCL), Downtown Line (DTL) and Thomson East Coast Line (TEL) in Singapore, our services include project management and consultancy expertise, covering energy and traction power systems, tunnel ventilation systems, rolling stock, signaling, communication, integrated control and supervisory systems, platform screen doors, trackwork, depot equipment, depot and maintenance management systems.

Systems Assurance & Integration

The Systems Assurance and Integration Business Unit (BU) provides System Engineering solutions relating to Systems Assurance (SA), Systems Integration (SI), and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) for Rapid Transit Systems, Roads and Traffic Management projects. The BU has additionally undertaken other engineering development activities like carrying out Human Factors Engineering Studies and performing Software Audits for Safety-related E&M Systems.

Geotechnics & Tunnelling

MSI’s Geotechnics and Tunnelling Business Unit (GTBU) offers tunnelling advisory services for works relating to Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM), Sprayed Concrete Lining and deep excavations. Over the past decades, Singapore has seen tunnels construction and deep excavation reaching the peak in intensity and standards as massive infrastructure projects were rolled out. The GTBU is proud to have harnessed the experience over the years of Nation building to build up the expertise and contribute to the industry of Geotechnics and Tunnelling.

 

GTBU is proud and honoured to be awarded the Contracts for Tunnelling Advisory Consultancy Services to Singapore’s very own high profile and iconic projects – namely the SP Group Construction of Transmission Cable Tunnels and PUB’s Stamford Diversion Canal and Deep Tunnels Sewerage System Phase 2. In the projects, the GTBU has been dedicated to providing technical, safety advisory and consultancy services to ensure that the projects can deliver to the highest quality, in a timely manner.
